As we began our trip into these small states, Rhode Island, Conneticut and New Jersey, it made me wonder how they became states; they are not a large as Harris or Dallas county. In New Jersey we stopped in Atlantic City and visited the famous "Boardwalk". It is actually a huge sidewalk area built up above the beach sand. On one side you have the Atlantic Ocean and on the other massive casinos. Besides the boardwalk and casinos, there is not really much to Atlantic City. The casinos were just like being in Vegas, except they did not have any of the huge exterior shows like the pirate ship at Treasure Island.
